Positions

Public Safety
A primary responsibility of any local government is the safety of its citizens and I am committed to prioritizing public safety services so that Cedar Park residents continue to feel safe in their community.
I will support law enforcement, firefighters, and other emergency personnel so that Cedar Park remains a safe community for our residents and their families.
Economic Development
Economic development is an important component of any prosperous city, and Cedar Park has a long history of encouraging innovative and successful businesses to call Cedar Park home.
I will work to ensure that Cedar Park remains a preeminent destination for businesses and work diligently to encourage economic development in our city that improves the quality of life for all of our citizens. This will not only support the long-term economic success of our town by diversifying our tax base but also reduce our reliance on homeowners in the form of property taxes.

Land Use
Land use decisions remain an important responsibility for our city government, particularly since Cedar Park is a growing, vibrant community. During my time on city council, and as Chairwoman of the Planning & Zoning Commission, I developed a unique understanding of the complex issues we face going forward, particularly as we approach buildout of our community. The challenges and opportunities we face present important decision points for council members, and the decisions we make today will shape our community for years to come. We need individuals who understand both the importance of these issues and the complexities involved in these decisions to serve on our City Council during such a pivotal time in our development. I will leverage my experience on Council and also the Planning & Zoning Commission to ensure that Cedar Park remains a place that our residents will want to call home today and for years to come.
Transportation
As anyone who has lived in Cedar Park for the last few years will attest, our roads continue to experience higher and higher demands as our city grows and we draw more visitors with exciting new developments. It is imperative that our roads continue to meet the needs of our residents and that we have a cohesive strategy to address the anticipated growth in traffic on our roadways. We must also encourage mobility solutions that enable residents to utilize various modes of transportation that are both safe and efficient. This includes vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrian walkways. Encouraging walkable developments such as the Bell District, for example, will give residents of Cedar Park new and innovative ways to visit a multitude of businesses and civic places within an area that is designed for safe pedestrian access. Employing all of these methods in a cohesive strategy will help address our continued growth and enable us to proactively plan for transportation solutions that are in the best interest of our residents.

A Sense of Place
We are in the midst of an exciting time in our City’s history as we embark upon new developments that will provide unique opportunities to connect with our neighbors and build a special sense of community. Developments such as the Bell District, which includes our new state-of-the-art library and Bell Park, will continue to grow and provide opportunities to meet our neighbors and spend time with one another in a way that connects us as residents of Cedar Park. Additional walkable developments are expected to prioritize this same sense of place and community engagement. These developments provide an opportunity to create a sense of community and connectedness that unites us all as residents of Cedar Park.
